A
unitized fire screen, andirons, and grate for a Rumford style fireplace. The screen panels are laser cut forming a
continuous Chinese lattice design across the front. The andirons are
laid up from heavy flat bar stock in the style
of
a Chinese ideogram. They are then bolted to the grate which acts as a
counterweight providing a stable base for the components. The end frames
are hinged to the andirons to rotate open for loading and cleaning of
the fireplace. All welds have been detailed by either flush or die
grinding.
